When I look back at my before photos and compare them to myself now, I just can't believe the changes!

    1. Impaction: 6mm which i'm glad of. Ideally I needed an 8mm movement to get what is classed as a 'normal smile' but my surgeon said this was too big of a movement and in the long run would become more gummy as I got older. He also said movements of 9mm+ have a higher chance of relapse.

Mandibular advancement with genioplasty: 5mm (He did describe how he moved my jaw and chin to avoid moving my top jaw forwards but I didn't really understand what he was saying - other than it was a 5mm movement).

  3. At any time during your recovery did you notice any hollowness from your cheek area?

    1. I can't say I have no! Have you? It may just be the shape of your cheek bone that's changed. I know that jaw surgery can alter it's shape, and especially with maxillary impaction - it usually gives you higher cheek bones!

    2. I noticed it has filled out a little since I've done some acupunture, but who knows...maybe it would have filled it out on its own? How are you doing? I haven't heard from you in awhile!
